How Are We Doing?
The Community Improvement Program Team welcomes your feedback. You can provide your valued comments to us in two ways:
1. Use our online form.
2. Print out the form and mail it to us.
CIP helps residents create a safer living environment, remove blight, and take an active role in the improvement of their community.
Headed by Supervising Specialist Susana Orozco, the CIP staff is comprised of 6 specialists and 2 technicians. One specialist is designated to each of the five County districts, with one specialist who covers media issues countywide.
Our dedicated specialists work with communities and their leaders in their respective district to provide educational materials and resources to residents: community cleanups, Spanish/English workshops, school assemblies, and community information fairs, community meetings and participate with other County departments in answering questions and providing information on Code ordinances to encourage compliance with code violations. Our staff continues to seek and administer programs and grant funds to help build sustainable communities, including:
