Welcome to your 4th District Community Improvement Program webpage!

Hi, my name is Betty Sanchez, Community Improvement Specialist (CIS) for Riverside County Code Enforcement Department in District 4. I am a life-long Coachella Valley resident and a UC Riverside Graduate.

My role within the Department is to facilitate community and neighborhood outreach efforts, identify community Code Enforcement concerns and assist property owners facing challenges in compliance with ordinances and ultimately remediating blight, public health and safety issues.

I do all of this through the promotion and use of existing resources, agency and private partnerships, grant funding or the development and coordination of programs and events as needed.

Some of the resources provided are community cleanups, Spanish/English workshops, community information fairs and grants for qualified areas. I also attend Community Council meetings and work closely with the Code Enforcement officers and use programs available to remove unwanted vehicles, mobile homes, accumulated rubbish and more.

I also coordinate a fundraising program called Clean Money. This program helps clean up hard to service communities and helps youth clubs and organizations raise money for their program. This year will be our 2nd year and the communities have already seen a huge difference. It is a very rewarding opportunity.
