Introduction To The Expedited Review Process For The
Western Riverside County Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan

Property owners who intend to install a mobile home or build a single-family home on an existing legal lot will be required to go through the Expedited Review Process (ERP) if their property is located within a Criteria Cell established through the Riverside County Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan (MSHCP). To determine if your property is in a Criteria Cell, you may view the MSHCP map by clicking here or enter your Assessors Parcel Number into the Conservation Summary Report Generator.

The initial ERP is free and will be conducted by trained staff within the Riverside County Environmental Programs Department. An ERP will determine the appropriate location of a building footprint and access roads. Habitat Assessments for plant and/or animal species may also be required.

While the MSHCP does not prevent the construction of a single-family home or the installation of a mobile home on an existing legal lot, the results of the ERP may require that building footprints, access roads and other ancillary structures be located on the least sensitive portion of your property.
