NEXT CLASS FOR ARCHAEOLOGICAL CONSULTANTS WHO WANT
TO BE PLACED ON THE COUNTY'S CULTURAL RESOURCE CONSULTANT LIST

ATTENTION Professional Consulting Archaeologists:

The next County consultant certification classes will be held on the following dates:

  • December 19, 2008 (register by December 5, 2008)
  • January 16, 2009 (register by January 2, 2009)
  • February 13, 2009 (register by January 30, 2009)
  • March 20, 2009 (register by March 6, 2009)

All professional-level archaeologists certifying reports submitted to the County of Riverside must be certified as having attended an orientation/professional topics training session once very two years. For those report certifying archaeologists whose County certifications will expire on March 30, 2009, it is highly recommended that you register for one of the up-coming classes, and not wait to the last class date. Additional class(s) will be offered in the Fall months of 2009.

Certification is valid for two years, unless revoked. Those with expired registrations will be removed from the County’s Cultural Resources Consultant List and not permitted to certify reports submitted to the County until they are recertified.

  • Maximum capacity per class is 40 people.
  • Registration is on a “First-come, First-serve” basis.
  • Each class begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends by 5:00 p.m., and will be held at the Desert Office in Palm Desert.
  • Registration fee is $80 made out to the County of Riverside.

More information about registration will be posted on this website and mailed to consultants currently listed in the near future. The County reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient registration.
