WORKSHOP

LAKVIEW / NUEVO AREA PLAN IMPLEMENTATION Lakeview/Nuevo Area Plan Implementation Program is a coalition of Lakeview/Nuevo area developers, the County of Riverside, and the Cities of San Jacinto and Perris working together to provide a deliberate and effective facility improvement plan concurrent with growth. A comprehensive study is underway to identify specific improvements, phasing, and financing that will be necessary to adequately address more than 20,000 homes and related commercial centers planned for the area. Ramona Expressway is a critical component of this analysis as the Mid-County Parkway project relates to development within the Area Plan. The study effort has already begun and is expected to conclude with recommendations and an action plan in late 2005. This program effort will affect the Lakeview/Nuevo Area Plan in total with the primary objectives being the future phasing, financing, and improvement schedule relative to continued development in the Area Plan. In addition, this effort will also identify the need for future County initiated General Plan Amendments in order to modify the General Plan as appropriate to meet the future needs of the Area Plan.
