DBE Program

The County of Riverside affirms the utilization and participation of qualified minority, women and disabled veteran firms in its contracting and procurement activities. The County of Riverside encourages general and prime contractors to afford competitive subcontracting opportunities to minority, women and disabled veteran firms where possible, in their contracting and procurement activities with the County of Riverside.

NOTICES

As of May 1, 2006 the State of California has implemented a wholly race-neutral DBE program, and the County of Riverside's DBE program and contract provisions have been modified in accordance with that mandated change.

Information on the program change may be found at the California Unified Certification Program web site:

www.dot.ca.gov/hq/bep/ucp.htm

Additional information regarding the County of Riverside Transportation Department's implementation of the changes will be posted in the near future, subsequent to approval by Caltrans.
